Dynamics of Ferromagnetic Walls: Gravitational Properties
نویسندگان
چکیده
We discuss a new mechanism which allows domain walls produced during the primordial electroweak phase transition. We show that the effective surface tension of these domain walls can be made vanishingly small due to a peculiar magnetic condensation induced by fermion zero modes localized on the wall. We find that in the perfect gas approximation the domain wall network behaves like a radiation gas. It turns out that recent high-redshift supernova data are compatible with a small, but cosmological important, part of our Universe could be composed of an almost ideal gas of ferromagnetic domain walls. We show that our domain wall gas induces a completely negligible contribution to the large-scale anisotropy of the microwave background radiation. Domain-wall motion in ferromagnetic nanowires driven by arbitrary time-dependent fields: an exact result.
We address the dynamics of magnetic domain walls in ferromagnetic nanowires under the influence of external time-dependent magnetic fields. We report a new exact spatiotemporal solution of the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation for the case of soft ferromagnetic wires and nanostructures with uniaxial anisotropy. The solution holds for applied fields with arbitrary strength and time dependence. We...
متن کاملFerromagnetic Domain Walls in Finite Systems: Mean-field Critical Exponents and Applications
The distribution of magnetic moments in finite ferromagnetic bodies was first investigated by Landau and Lifshitz in a famous paper [Phys. Z. Soviet Union, 8, 153 (1935)], where they obtained the domain structure of a ferromagnetic crystal at low temperatures, in the regime of saturated magnetization. In this article, we investigate the general properties of ferromagnetic domain walls of uniaxi...
متن کاملTime-resolved imaging of nonlinear magnetic domain-wall dynamics in ferromagnetic nanowires
In ferromagnetic nanostructures domain walls as emergent entities separate uniformly magnetized regions. They are describable as quasi particles and can be controlled by magnetic fields or spin-polarized currents. Below critical driving forces domain walls are rigid conserving their spin structure. Like other quasi particles internal excitations influence the domain wall dynamics above a critic...

Resonance properties of domain walls in ferromagnets with a weak exchange interaction
The spin dynamics of a domain wall is studied in an infinite ferromagnetic chain with an easyaxis anisotropy as well as in a chain of finite size. The dependence of the intrinsic mode frequency of the domain wall on the exchange interaction is studied for all admissible values of the latter. It is shown that this dependence is considerably modified in the region of transition of the domain wall...
